Subject: Ashok and Sona Singh
Sona Singh is affectionately known as the "old Man". He is 53. He was shepherding a Church when the rebel forces took control of the villages and put their slogans inside and outside of the Church building. They allowed Sona Singh to conduct services on Saturdays and the rest of the time the rebels used it. Sona fell into the favor of a rebel commander who made him a commander as well. He was able to save the lives of many believers during the civil war because he had been made an officer in the rebel forces even though it was forced upon him. Who would have thought that God to take something that amounted to forced conscription and turn it into the salvation of many. Kind of reminds me of Joseph who recognized that "what you meant for evil, God meant for good."
