Ministry in Cascavel, Brazil
May 8, 2010 by Mike Wells
Here are the Brothers and Sisters that organized the conference in Cascavel. Cascavel is a relatively new city of 56 years and has over 400,000 residents. The conference was 50/50 believers and unbelievers. More later in the trip report. Notice the large Brazilian pine cone. Yes, those are pinon nuts that are being roasted. Some are crushed to make a kind of flour. Also note the Brazilian BBQ grill. It is magic! The meats are roasted perfectly. On the average, a Brazilian eats over 220 lbs of beef, 100 lbs of pork, and 100 lbs of chicken every year. You will see Alberto translating during the evening church service.
