Video of Amazon Medical Mission Trip in March

Pastor Kim, Cheol Ki has sent us the You Tube video presentation of the March Amazon Medical Mission Trip organized by ALMI, with a LOT of help from our friends Flavio & Sonia Lazzari, Hermanus & Annelie Taute, Dr. Jim Herrin, Dr. Peter Emanuel, Dr. Eric Wisdom and assistant and wife, Elaine. other Brazilian doctors, and a host of others! We so appreciate everyone’s efforts and God’s blessing that made this a successful trip.

the Back’s home. It was a great time!

Amazon Medical Mission Trip, March, 2012

These are but a few of the photos of the March, 2012, medical ministry trip on the boat with Pastor Kim in the Amazon region. Though Mike could not accompany the group, they all continued to plan and follow through with the vision of the journey. Flavio & Sonia Lazzari of Curitiba, Brazil, headed up the group to act as travel agents, interpreters, and much, much more. Their friend, Dr. Antonio Carlos Gioppo, came from southern Brazil, and the doctors mentioned by Sonia below came from the U.S. Also, Mike’s good friends Manie & Annelie Taute from Portugal came as Bible teachers and interpreters. A rich time in the Lord was had by all, it sounds like, and we praise Him for His faithfulness!  –Betty

Betty, these pictures were taken in two indian communities we visited. The first community, Açaituba, was very poor. The Acariquaras had a more prepared community leader.

I was interpreting and helping Dr. Peter Emmanuel with the ultra-sound exams. Annelie Taute was dispensing all her care and love for the children and interpreting for Dr. Jim Herrin, and Flavio helped the Dr. Eric Wisdom & his assistant and wife, Elaine. Elaine W. just loved to play with the kids and gave them small toys and gifts.

We enjoyed talking and giving a little love to those people.
